Do you love animals? Love getting arty? Love making yummy food? Then this is the perfect elective for you!

Join us for a fun-filled week where animals are the stars of everything we do! 

You’ll create wild and wonderful art, design cute and clever crafts, and even make delicious animal-themed food. You’ll get to work with cool materials like polymer clay, fondant, digital art, paint, and heaps of awesome crafting supplies. And best of all – at the end of the week, we’ll turn our space into an amazing animal gallery and invite your whānau and friends to come see (and maybe taste!) what you’ve made.

It’s going to be creative, hands-on, and full of animal fun – we can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

This elective is for those who love to play the game of Basketball. As you might expect we will be doing drills, improving our skills and competing against each other in a range of games at Te Manawa and at Nairnville Rec Centre. As well as this, we will be tracking metrics like height, wingspan & vertical jump (and more), Watching NBA and WNBA games, and learning about the history, style and pop culture that surrounds one of the most popular sports in the world. 

This elective is for hoopers of any level, but you must be committed to improving your basketball skills by listening, being receptive to feedback and trying your best in a busy 5-day camp-style programme.

It is a lot of basketball. Say no more.

Come and make your own products, including products such as soap, bath bombs, shower oils, lip balm, bath salts etc.  It’s great fun, great learning, including understanding some chemical reactions. You must have patience and be willing to spend time creating packaging for your products. You take home the products that you have made at the END of the week. These are great options for Christmas gifts.

This is your chance to spend a week designing your own video game using Scratch. We will look at elements of game design, introduce you to computational thinking, look at effective character design, and look at what makes a great video game great. Come join in the fun!

A week of futsal-type games, skills sessions, and hopefully a couple of football-based outings.

Get ready to dive into a week of hands-on creativity! In this fun and relaxed elective, we will have a go at a variety of arts and crafts projects, including painting plant pots, designing beaded keychains and jewellery, learning basic embroidery techniques, and sculpting mini air-dry clay creations. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just love trying new things, this is the perfect space to express yourself and make something uniquely yours!

Week-long golfing experience. Learning the intricacies of the game from driving, iron play, wedge play and putting. You will get professional coaching and get to play at Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club.

Are you keen to get ready for next year’s netball season? Are you looking to improve your fitness levels? Are you interested in improving your game sense and netball skills? Then come along for a week of netball focused sessions. We will have some coaches from Netball Wellington coming in to help build up skills and game sense and we will spend some time playing a few games to get us ready for next year’s netball season.

Get ready for a week like no other! We’re putting together a brand-new, never-before-seen musical production — and we need you on stage! Whether you’re into singing, dancing, acting, or bringing the laughs with some comedy, this is your chance to shine. You’ll spend the week rehearsing, creating, and performing alongside a team of passionate performers. We also need creative humans to help with set design, costumes and props, so if that sounds like a bit of you as well – we’d love to have you!

Board Games have come a long way since Monopoly and Cluedo. Come along to this elective to experience a huge range of game styles and experiences. Settle the island of Catan, collect cats on comfy quilts, fight other submarines in Captain Sonar, or find the imposter among us in Fake Artist. You will learn new games, try out different strategies, meet new people and you may even find your new favourite game!

We really love photography. If you do too, then come and join us for a week of it. We have added getting around our Capital City to some places that inspire interesting photos. We will edit and produce some of your captured pieces so you can share them as a gift during the festive season. It is important that you have your own camera or a good quality camera on your phone.

Do you enjoy being on top of the world? Looking down on others? Conquering Everest? Climbing is a fantastic way to push yourself to the limit using muscles you didn’t even know about. Come and join us for a week where you will ascend to new heights! We will visit Hang Dog, Clip and Climb, Fergs and Adrenaline Forest with a few other side activities too. Must be fit and active!

Ever wondered how people get “Youtube Famous”? This is a week-long film intensive focusing exclusively on videos with multi-million hits on youtube. Together we’ll watch viral videos, figure out what makes them great, then script, star in, and produce our own videos.

Calling all you water lovers out there!! In this elective, you will be swimming, wave riding, inflatable jumping and hydrosliding. We will be visiting 5 different pools across the Wellington region and enjoying all they have to offer. You must be able to swim as part of this elective. It’s awesome fun. Don’t miss out!
