Our Waiata
Last year we were very lucky to have our wonderfully talented Kapa Haka tutors Wetini Herewini and Joanne Chell collaborate with staff and students about what was important for them at Rāroa. The result was a beautiful waiata that was gifted to us and is now our very own personalised song.
It was first handed over to us at the 2018 Noho Marae stay for our Te Rangatahi Kapa Haka group and then proceeded to be shared throughout the school. At school assemblies, you will see Mr Martina and Ms Faálogo playing the guitar encouraging our students to sing their hearts out.
